Our Pets

Finnick AX, AXJ, SSS, ISD

Picture
Finnick joins The Total Canine family from across the pond (England). He is ready to take on the world in agility.
Along with Watson, he demonstrates many of the fitness, c
onditioning, and rehabilitation exercises Dr. Leslie has to offer.

Watson OA, AXJ, SSN, BID

Picture
The next agility dog! We welcome Watson, a smooth coated Border Collie from Japan. He's ready to take on the world and you can follow along at Puppy Elementary.
Watson is now competing in agility successfully after OC Shoulder surgery and OCD stifle surgery.

Stig MAD, MX, MXJ, IND

Picture
My second Border Collie and current competitive agility dog. The first to start my conditioning program from puppy-hood. Stig has helped me perfect my timing. He keeps me grounded in my expectations of what a dog can learn to do versus be lured to do. A true clown and lover of learning.
Stig recently competed at EO Tryouts and his (and mine) first AKC NAC.
He is the inspiration behind Jumping Gymnastics.

IAC2, IWAC, CSS MACH Ghost AAD, MX, MXJ

Picture
A tailed Australian Shepherd from Redwood Ranch. I have been waiting for this puppy for years. She will also get to start my conditioning program from puppy hood. Of course, I plan on her mainly being an agility dog, but I have been challenged to explore obedience and herding with her.

Over the Rainbow Bridge:

Brink  AAD, AX, AXJ, OF

Picture
An unplanned rescue and my first Border Collie. Brink has pushed me to become a better trainer and handler. Brink was on the verge of death when I rescued him, it took over 3 months before I admitted he was my dog, and now I can't imagine life without him. He has taught me there is more to agility than just Q's and titles.

ADCH Bronze, ATCH2, MACH Tundra Lifetime Achievement Award Bronze, MXB, MXJB, MXF, RN

Picture
My first agility dog. Tundra is also the dog that peaked my interest in training and behavior. At 12 years old, she still runs in USDAA Veterans classes. My heart dog.

Mesa

Picture
My first dog and the reason I became a veterinarian. Mesa taught me the basics of raising and living with a dog. He now lives with my Grandfather, as my grandparents wouldn't give him back to me after I finished my veterinary internship and he had lived with them for a year.

Bosque  FD, FDX

Picture
Bosque was my first rescue. He captured my heart while I was working at The Humane Association of New Mexico. Bosque learned agility, but his real love was Flyball. During my junior year in vet school, Bosque suffered from IVDD and required back surgery. He taught me about taking an active dog through recovery and rehabilitation. He eventually returned to Flyball. Last fall we said goodbye to sweet Bosque.

River  JS-O, GS-N, RS-N

Picture
River is the dog I got to do it all, so of course she does nothing. She is my snuggle bug, couch potato. She loves to go on hikes and play, but doesn't feel it's necessary to show other people what she can do. River is my first clicker-trained dog.

ADCH Rival  MX, MXJ, XF

Picture
A rescue from Zia Australian Shepherd in New Mexico. The prick ears stole my heart. I decided to take the running contact adventure with him and it has been a joy. Rival's structure is not the best, so he challenges me to keep him healthy enough to compete.
